Unable to Delete some mails from Deleted Items

Hello,

For the last few days there are 4 e-mails in my Deleted Items folder
which i can't delete.

This e-mail body appears on these four e-mails:

"Message could not be displayed
Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows Mail"


When i press to Delete them i get this error message: "An unknown error has
occured"


I can assure you that no memory or disk space issues exist.

Any advice on how to delete those messages manually at least? Because i have
enabled the option that says to Delete all e-mails that are in the "Deleted
Items" folder everytime i close Windows Mail and now this four messages are
blocking this feauture. I can delete all messages except those 4.

Please advice.

Try right-clicking the Deleted Items folder and selecting "Empty 'Deleted
Items' Folder" instead. Sometimes it works.

You can also try temporarily turning off the Preview pane (Menu -> View ->
Layout), delete the messages, and then restore the Preview Pane.

Apparently it worked by itself.

This issue has been resolved after a restart and compact of mails.

Hello,

I encounter the same bug, but none of the proposed advices helped.

Seems to me, that Windows Mail is not yet working perfect. The first time I
installed Vista, Windows Mail did not work properly and I had to reinstall
Vista. Now tjhis fault occurs.

If you are unable to delete the emails from deleted items folder the you
can try downloading the microsoft update:

'Download details: Update for Windows Vista (KB941090)'
