windows mail - bring back outlook express

I have been using Windows Vista for a few days now (business edition) and i
hate to say it, but I really miss outlook express.

Windows Mail just isn't the same.

So far:

Windows Mail seems to struggle with IMAP accounts.

*Has crashed everyday whilst checking IMAP folders
*Seems to totally confuse and mess around with deleted messages - In the old
days of outlook express i could delete emails then all i had to do was
"purge".

Now, they get moved to Deleted items folder. This would be fine except that
if I view my IMAP folders with another program or via web mail, the "deleted
items" are still in my inbox.

If i tell windows mail to empty deleted items, they then magically appear in
deleted items in web mail.

what on earth is going on?

accounts. Apparently Microsoft must want me to go to their hotmail site to
collect my email now so that I can view the adverts instead of letting me
continue to collect my hotmail through the windows mail program.

there is a free program called HotPop for retrieving hotmail from within WM.

Hotmail popper shows that it will only collect or send up to 100 mails then they want $17.95 to continue using it.

I have three very big IMAP accounts and WM never crashed with those. The
only problem I've observed is when I move mails from one folder or
account to another; when this operation take longer than 60 seconds then
WM show me a message "your mailserver do not responded... etc.". But I
still think it is more a problem with my Surgemail mailserver than WM.

You can restore that "old" delete method: go to Options ==> Advanced ==>
IMAP==> Use the "Deleted" folders with IMAP accounts.
