Red X where pics should be
I have Window's Vista with Window's Mail. I have had Outlook Express in the
past and never had a problem with it. Now, all of a sudden, when I start
reading my email that has pics attached, they're all boxes with a red X in
them. If I log out and log back in, I can read about two or three emails
fine, then the red X's are back. I log out and back in, and two or three
more can be read. Does anyone know why this is happening??? It's really
starting to drive me crazy.

Thanks for any assistance....

Since it is intermittent...I would suspect that
some maintenance might help the issue.

Re: Red X where pics should be
I suggest that as a test you uninstall your antivirus.
Windows Mail is not compatible with most McAfee
or Norton security programs. Those will need to be
uninstalled, not just disabled.

After uninstalling your non-compatible antivirus, reboot, then
test your Windows Mail. If the problem is gone, download
and install a more compatible antivirus like the free Avast:
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Even compatible antivirus programs will need to have their
email scanning option turned off. For more on this topic see
