Importing Mail from old OE6 installation fails

Hello,

every attempt to import mail via File-Import-Messages fails.
I copied over the DBX files from another machine manually, I copied them
over with the Windows Easy transfer utility which copies them into an "OLD"
folder on C, I tried to access the files via network... Everything fails.

Even worse: Outlook from Office 2007 also does not allow importing from DBX
files. Every time I open up the import wizard, it semi automatically imports
the non existing Windows Mail data (one test mail) but does not allow me any
selection of WHERE to import from.

Please help...

System is a Windows Vista Ultimate Retail on a tablet PC running in English
as the main language.

Copy the dbx files to a blank directory on the physical hard drive that is
your system drive. Folders.dbx has to be included. Then right click on the
files and go to Properties and clear the read only attribute.

Then try File | Import | Messages in WinMail. If that still doesn't work,
then you will have to get a 3rd party program to extract the messages from
the dbx files. See www.oehelp.com
