PREVIOUS OUTLOOK BAR DISAPPEARED ?
Hello,
I see that unfortunately the "outlook bar" (grey background on the left side
of the display), seems no more to exist in windows mail; it allowed to sort
out somme important files to retrieve rapidely, instead of searching them
among the other files.
Is there a way to display it again ?
The same problem arises with the "contact bar".
Is windows mail a real improvement compared with outlook ?
tks in adavnce for your answer

Re: PREVIOUS OUTLOOK BAR DISAPPEARED ?
Windows Mail is an upgrade to Outlook EXPRESS, not Outlook. Outlook is part
of the MS Office suite.

Re: PREVIOUS OUTLOOK BAR DISAPPEARED ?
You're right, sorry: actually I meant "Is windows mail a real improvement
compared with Outlook EXPRESS", the one I used; I put the question because
the "outlook bar" and "contact bar" were options which no longer exist in
windows mail, and that looks rather like a "downgrade"- unless it is
possible to find them in another menu - but I doubt about it...
I wonder if I come back to outlook express, but before doing so, I would
like to know if ther would be other improvements which would be more
significant than theses inconveniences. Is it possible to find a
comparative between the 2 ?

Re: PREVIOUS OUTLOOK BAR DISAPPEARED ?
There's a big difference between Outlook and Outlook Express... about $100.

Re: PREVIOUS OUTLOOK BAR DISAPPEARED ?
I have used Outlook Express for many years, but am not familiar
with this "outlook bar" and "contact bar" you mentioned.
OE did have a Contacts folder in the lower left corner, which
was not carried over to Windows Mail.

It was removed. I guess they thought that most people didn't use it.
