Don't use the sent messages folder
I use the conversations feature, and i would like it so my outgoing messages
go by the same rules as my incoming messages, so that if i send a email, it
goes into the appropriate folder instead of the sent messages folder.

Cheers

Message rules only work on incoming mail, you can create rules to do what
you want, but you have to apply them manually every so often.

Apply this rule after the message arrives

Where the To line contains 'yyyyy@xxxxx'

Move it to the yyyyxxxx folder

and Stop processing more rules

You have to then select the rule and apply now, browse and select sent items
folder.
