vista mail newsgroups failing to load

when I open windows mail I get an error stating no network found. When I
click retry it seems to work however when I try to syncronize news groups it
hits about 5 messages then hangs. And says something about the news
community not responding.

Any ideas would be appricated.

Also I can not update the listing of news groups every time I try it it give
me no connectio to the internet is currently available I click try again and
I get the downloading news groups. for a long time then it comes up with
your nntp server has not responded in 150 seconds would you like to wait
another 150 seconds for the server to respond
