hotmail

hello i have a hotmail account and thats it, how do i make a ntl account or
another one that can be used with microsoft mail?

You would need to set this up via your Cable provider, assuming this is NTL.

I am not familiar with them on a technical level, however you should be
able to do using using some kind of "My account" section on their portal or
webpage. You then need to create the account in Windows Live Mail or Windows
Mail (which is different to creating the physical mailbox) using the
settings provided by them in order that you are able to send and receive
messages directly from your computer rather than signing into the web
interface of their online mail application.....

Windows Mail cannot access Hotmail accounts, but the newer Windows Live Mail
can...

Hi Bethany,

As Dave said, Windows Mail (WM) does not support HTTP webmail like
Hotmail. You might consider using the free program Windows Mail Live
Beta 2 (WLM) that is like WM. It supports Pop3, IMAP, HTTP website (EX:
Hotmail) email, and is a lot more stable. Plus, WLM will minimize to a
tray bar icon and has a separate Inbox for each account. WLM will
automatically import Windows Mail messages, accounts, and settings into
it. Contacts will have to be manually imported from within WLM. (Tools,
Contacts, File, Import, Address book for current Windows User.)
