Windows Mail Integration with Home Office and Student 2007
Under Windows XP and Office XP (which included MS Outlook), I could send an
email from within an Excel spreadsheet. With my new HO&S 2007, I can not do
this. If I purchase and install a stand-alone version of Outlook 2007, will
I be able to send an email directly from Excel 2007? Has anyone had the
same experience and been able to resolve this any differently?
Thanks

Re: Windows Mail Integration with Home Office and Student 2007
Excel and Word need certain MAPI handlers to be present in order
to be able to hand off a document to the default email program.
Reinsert your Office CD, select "install additional components/
custom install". There should be an option to install the MAPI handler.

Re: Windows Mail Integration with Home Office and Student 2007
Gary,
I just insert my original CD and I do not see any such option. It looks
like I only can install the four products that came on the CD.
I wonder - My computer came installed with MS HO&S 2007 and all I did was
put in the activation code off my original CD that I bought. I wonder if I
took off the original programs and reinstalled HO&S 2007, would that make
this work?

Re: Windows Mail Integration with Home Office and Student 2007
I don't have the Student version CD, only the full Pro one,
so I can't tell you exactly where to find that option.
Reinstalling may or may not work, but it's worth a try.
For more help with this you might want to consult one of
the Office or Outlook forums.
