Importing .csv File into Windows Contacts
I want to Import a .csv File into Windows Contacts. The Help for windows
says You can do this under "To import contacts created in another program":
-open Windows Contacts
-on the toolbar, click Import and then click one of the following formats:
*.csv, This is a generic file format....(etc
-Click import, locte the contacts file, etc
When I open Windows Contacts there is NOT an Import anywhere on the Toolbar
nor in the Menu's. There is such a Import Menu in Windows Calendar (which
will not import .csv files), but none in Windows Contacts.
help appreciated. Thanks.wec1

Re: Importing .csv File into Windows Contacts
First open Windows Mail.
Then click on "Contacts".
If you don't see "Import" and "Export" on the toolbar, than maybe your
template is incorrect.
click on Organize - Properties - Customize
in the template pull-down box, select "Contacts"
OK

Re: Importing .csv File into Windows Contacts
I want to Import into Windows CONTACTS. This is a separate program that
shows up under All Programs.

Re: Importing .csv File into Windows Contacts
OK. I'll assume Windows Calendar and Windows Contacts are 2 parts of the
same thing.
I open Windows Calendar, select Import, then Select all files [as Windows
Calendar defaults to only .ics files]
Brouse to location, select a file that says "Microsoft Office Excell Comma
Separated Values..."
Hit Open and Destination is Create New Calendar
Windows responds "Unable to import File. Make sure this is a valid
iCalendar file and try again."
Thus I cannot do what Windows originally says I could, ie importing .csv file.
???

Re: Importing .csv File into Windows Contacts
No....., The Windows Contacts folder is the same thing as clicking on the
Contacts button in Windows Mail.
Why are you talking about Calendar?
I thought you wanted to import contacts.
