Program/Feature fails to turn on.
I have Vista Business on a new Sony VAIO and am having great trouble turning
a feature on.
I select Programs and Features from Control Panel and Programs. I then
select "Turn Windows features on or off" and am presenetd with a screen list
of available programs. I tick the box for Games and select OK. The new
progress bar screen appears but nothing happens. No green bar moves as on
another Vista computer. After about 30 seconds this screen disappears and I
am left again with the standard list of programs. Games is not there. When
I look at the Games folder via the start button it remains empty. I've tried
repeating the exercise and selecting either an individual game from within
the Games section or selecting all of them - always with the same outcome.
From the same section I have successfully uninstalled programs but just can't
find out how to add a single game. Any sensible suggestions from Windows
Vista experts would be greatfully received.
