Device Manager not working

Hi Guys,

Just done a fresh install of Vista64 (premium) -did the windows
updates, all seems to be running fine..

Apart from 1 small problem..

The Window that comes up when you first logon 'welcome window' -has
some quick menus on the lefthand side. The top option is a link to the
Device Manager, only thing is.. it doesnt work!

The other 3 links work fine, and I can get to the device manager by
other ways -just a pain with a fresh install that not everythings
working...

Any ideas/suggestion ??

I've had a similar problem on a 32 bit system and reported it to MS. I
don't remember the details but it had something to do with a bug in UAC.
Not sure if matches your circumstances precisely but there it is . . .

Nevertheless, here's another way into the device manager. Right click
Computer in the start menu and choose Manager. Device Manager is the sixth
item on the list under System Tools.
