Crash Windows Vista

My computer chrashed, don't ask me why. I have a legal cdrom of Windows
Vista, but it's only upgrade. If I want to reinstall, i have to do that
whithin windows itself,but i can't reach windows anymore. Two questions. Can
i make a rescue cdrom to fix my bootmbr (it crashed) or how can i reinstall
vista from the root directory?

Your Vista DVD has a "Repair your computer" option. You have to boot to
the DVD to use it. See:

Try the"Repair your computer" > "System Recovery Options" > "Startup Repair"
option at least three or four times, if it doesn't succeed.
From experience, sometimes once is not enough.
