Recovery

I recently was having problems with my computer and I went so far as to have
the computer re-install Vista. I performed the Recovery with Automatic Data
Backup option, so I have data backep up from just before the Vista
re-installation. The problem is when I go to run some Windows programs
(especially in the Contorl Panel) none of the prgrams will run. Also, none
of the gadgets appear in the Sidebar. Is there something else I need to do
after the re-installation of Vista?
