PC Mover twitches & glitches

I'm on my new dell with Vista premium that I got from qvc. So far, working
fine but I moved all my files etc from my old Gateway with xp using the pc
mover software included with my computer and now have the following problems:

I have trouble deleting programs I no longer need - some Norton security
stuff (I have Mcafee on the new computer).

My screensavers have switched to the old xp and I can't find the cool new
vista screensavers anywhere.

Short of undoing the entire transfer with a "clean" version of vista and
then reinstalling my programs and files manually, any suggestions, tips or
ideas?

You really shouldn't move programs that are not compatible with Vista from
an XP install to Vista. As you have found out removing them can be
difficult. You might be forced to do a manual removal of files, folders and
registry entries. Also Symantec has a removal tool on their site. Get the
one that is specific for the product version.

I would recommend not using McAfee either. It has problems. There are much
better alternatives including the free Avast, and the paid NOD32 or
Kaspersky.

Sorry I don't know about the screen saver issue. For help with that PC
mover program contact the authors of that program.
