You really shouldn't move programs that are not compatible with Vista from
an XP install to Vista. As you have found out removing them can be
difficult. You might be forced to do a manual removal of files, folders and
registry entries. Also Symantec has a removal tool on their site. Get the
one that is specific for the product version.
I would recommend not using McAfee either. It has problems. There are much
better alternatives including the free Avast, and the paid NOD32 or
Kaspersky.
Sorry I don't know about the screen saver issue. For help with that PC
mover program contact the authors of that program.
