Event monitor user notification tool.

I am trying to install intel viiv 1.7 software,could some one please tell me
where the above(the title of this ) is in services or processes so i can stop
it to allow instalation of the software.

I just discovered the viiv feature of my computer recently after
connecting to my Directv hd-dvr. However, when I tried to upgrade to the
newest version of viiv, from 1.6 to 1.7, I kept getting the error
message, event monitor usage download tool - process id 3652...about 3/4
the way into the installation. I searched the internet unsuccessfully
for an answer including Intel. However, I decided I got curious and
started looking into controlling functions of Vista and opened Windows
Defender. I run Windows Live OneCare as my protection, but Windows
Defender was disabled. I enabled it and looked at the list of programs
currently running. They were grouped. I scrolled down to Intel and found
the program and process id, 3652. I stopped it from running, clicked on
'Retry' for the viiv version upgrade and it successfully installed. Hope
this is helpful for somebody.
Additional note...after 15 minutes, Windows Defender stopped
responding, suddenly. Don't know why, yet...

I believe OneCare disables Defender. At the least, the two
are incompatible.
