instalation error

Attempting to install vista on a HP vectra , furing file expansion proccess i
get error"windows could not configure boot configuration,caanot complete
install. I have played with boot pryority in BIOS with no success, any
suggestions?????

Check that any boot record protection scheme in the system BIOS is disabled.
