Hi,
The core is the same, so it doesn't matter which version you choose. The
differences are in the features, not in system compatibility. You should
choose the version that has the features you want (and obviously you are
aware that you need Home Premium or Ultimate to have the media center
features).
Make sure Sony supports upgrading your model to Vista and that drivers are
available for all the hardware that is on the system. The Upgrade Advisor
only reports known incompatibilities, it doesn't always know if all your
hardware will be supported natively.
