Re: Missing CD/DVD Drivers?
Well... I've been trying to modidy the IT8211 -iteatapi.inf- file in the
win64 folder to see if I can force it to think its a vista driver.
So far I've changed
[Version]
Signature="$Windows NT$"
to [Version]
Signature="$CHICAGO$"
This makes the inf file load ok but nothing appears int he box to
select. I resume I need to add/modify a
%ITE.DeviceDesc0% = iteatapi, PCI\VEN_1283&DEV_8212&SUBSYS_2A1D103C ;
ASUS OEM
line for it to pick it up. Anyone know how I get this line right?
Or.. did peoplke just untick the "onyl use compatible drivers blah
blah" tickbox and select one that appears?
Or am I using a driver file set thats total;ly out of date
(8211Drv_095003-01.exe or DriverVer=12/14/2005,1.3.2.8 in the INF
file...)
Thanks in advance,
Dom
