windows Defender stops service
I am using Windows vista Home Premium, from last 3 days Windows Defender
stops service and anytime I open my laptop there is a window comes with an
information shows"Application failed to initialize:0x800106ba.a problem
caused this program's service to stop".

Please send me the solution to activate my Windows defender.

OR How can I activate it by manually?

Go to the Event log for Applications and see what the Error event error
message indicates.

Then you take all of the text message, part of the text message or you do
whatever with the text message to get the hit out there on Google, for a
possible solution.

Someone on the vista.security NG had a similar problem with WD, under
subject *Error Messages*, where you can see the solution applied.

What I suspect is that malware has been introduced to the machine and is
disabling WD.
