New Ram Re-active problem
Just installed some extra RAM, I have been told to re-activate Vista, tried
to do this on-line and it told me to do it another way? Then tried via the
phone but I got cut off…I did have to clear the CMOS as the RAM install
caused me some trouble, anyone know how I can contact Microsoft to resolve
this?

Re: New Ram Re-active problem
As far as I know there are only two activation options - Online and
telephone. If you got cut off when using telephone activation the only
suggestion I can make is to call the activation line again. It is a free
phone (toll free) number so it isn't costing you anything.

Re: New Ram Re-active problem
I put additional ram and a new video card in and I had no activation
problems.
Maybe I am just lucky.

RE: New Ram Re-active problem
Think the problem must be clearing the CMOS - i had some problem with 4GB and
had to underclock the RAM, trial and error and at some point i couldn't even
get in the BIOS so clearing the CMOS was the only option, after that its
asked me to re-activate, and will not!

is there anyway of speaking to someone from Microsoft?
