SP1 botch
Finally upgraded home PC (laptop, Vista Ultimate, 32bit) to SP1/SP1.
Tried same on second PC (desktop, Vista Ultimate, 64bit). Seems to have
hung. Screen & drive light flicker 1/sec continuously. Sinle line of
white-on-black screen ominously reads (hours):

!! 0xc0000034 !! 291/171074 (_0000000000000000.cdf-ms)

What now? Am I toast? Shall I intervene? Euthanize the PC & profess
replacement need? Suicide? Find a way to blame the IT guy?

RE: SP1 botch
Update 09.10.29: Called MS tech support. Could not remedy/restore without
original disks. OEM disks inadequate. Purchased new Vista Ultimate 64bit.
Booting from CD, "repair" failed. No expected "restore" option was
discernible by tech support nor by me. Therefore we performed a full
reinstall of Vista. Former directories quarantined in C;Windows:OLD, no data
losee, 100% software loss; all must be re-installed.

That's life.
