Can I upgrade from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Professional?

Can I upgrade from Vista Ultimate to Windows 7 Professional or do I need to
upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate?

For reasons unknown that site will not allow me to post a question. When I

At the bottom of the page, click on "Manage Your Profile" and then
create a user profile. After signing in, you can then post a question.

No - but you can do so with a "clean" install" - use Windows file and
settings wizard to migrate data, profiles and application settings (not
applications themselves)
