Recovery of HP Presario C700

Accidently i lost my recovery partition of laptop, however a backup/
Recovery CD prepared at the time of purchase of my laptop is availiable
to me. Can i restore my system from such CD to the factory settings.

You have two posts for this for laptop, what help are you loking for.
