Volume Activation - KMS Count stops at 50, but 120 PC's Activated.
Hello all,
I'm brand new to the site and hoping someone can help me out.
I have a KMS Server (Windows Server 2003 SP2) with 120 KMS Clients (Vista Business) authenticating with the KMS server.
The problem I have is that the KMS COUNT on the server has stopped incrementing at 50, even tho there are approx 120 Clients authenticated with the KMS Server.
Each time I add a client, I can see KMS Logs with Event ID12290.(see below) but the KSM on the server count does not increase.
"An activation request has been processed.
Info:
0x0,25,ClientPC@Domain.name.com,CMID-NAME-etc-etc-etc-etc,2009/9/25 11:18,0,1,249120,KMSID-NAME-etc-etc-etc-"
I have checked and confirmed the CMID's are not the same and have attempted to run the slmgr.vbs /rearm script without success. The count will not increase above 50. The base Vista Image was created using ghosting software.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is this something to be worried about, will the clients keep authenticating in the future?
I have found similar posts where users needed to get the count up to 25 before authentication, but my issue is different. Can anyone help?
Many thanks
Gings
Can anyone shed any light on this,
