vlite slipstream

Hiya
I wonder if anybody can help me please.
I have been reading a tutorial posted by Brink on the 05-05-2008 titled
how to create a Vista sp1 slipstream installation DVD. I am getting a
bit lost
I have done the bit about running the standalone section 12 of the
tutorial which takes approx 60/120 minutes which was fine no problems
there.
I am getting a bit lost now. at what stage do I start stripping the
things I don't want to be installed?? would it be after I have completed
the rest of the tutorial

Would anybody be able to help
