I would have thought the documentation or media that came with your new HP
would have that information, but you can open your start menu, then
right-click on Computer. The dialog that appears will show the edition of
Vista you are running, and if it's 64 bit, it will say so. If there's no
mention of 64 bit , you have 32 bit.
Please note the above is to the best of my recollection, as I've not seen a
64 bit installation in over a month. I'm sure somebody here will correct me
if I'm wrong
