I reinstalled my windows vista home premium 32-bit on my computer but
decided to go back to my old installation. I followed the directions at
'How to restore a computer to a previous Windows installation after you
install Windows Vista' (
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933168) to
restore my old OS, and it seemed to work, but at the logon screen, i
ended up with a "The User Profile Service failed the logon" message.
When i checked it out, i saw that the users folder had not moved from
the windows.old folder so i put the disc back in and tried to move it,
but it told me i didn't have access. Right now i'm using the default
admin account and the Users folder has a folder labeled Default then
AppData, then Local and Roaming. I don't know what i'm supposed to do
and i need to get the computer working again soon.
