Unable to Upgrade to Vista SP1

Hello, I have tried using Windows Update and the standalone installation
files and always wind up with the same error:

Installation Status: Failed

Error details: Code 80070020

I have spent months (litterally) with Microsoft Support, who while very
nice, can only offer to reformat and install the OS. Since I am not having
any other issues and have been able to install all other updates, this is not
an appealing alternative.

Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated.

It may well have something to do with your antivirus protection. Try
disabling it while you install the update..

Thanks for your reply. I disabled all Virus and Firewall related options
(Norton 360 2.0) and still encountered the same problem. Any additional ideas
would be appreciated.
