Upgrading from Vista Home Premium to Ultimate

I have a new HP Pavilion dv5-1235dx x64 that I need to upgrade to
Ultimate. I have the upgrade DVD and have tried it twice. Once after I
uninstalled Norton Interenet Security. I got the same results both
times. You cannot run the upgrade advisor on x64 so that does not good.
It got all the way to the end and the the message was "Windows could not
configure one or more system components. To install Windows
restart...... ". I saw no error messages or guides to pinpoint the
problem. I'm sure there is an error log somewhere, but I have not found
it. Help.
