Vista Sysprep Fatal Erro
I've been trying for months to create an image using the Vista Sysprep. We use a simple unattend.xml file; but not matter what it crashes.

Here are two logs from my most current attempts:

Re: Vista Sysprep Fatal Erro
Thanks for responding. On the particular fix below, i applied the KB, put my unattend file in the c:\windows\system32\sysprep folder. Everytime i attempted to run the cmd (at elevated permissions) of:

C:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /oobe /generalize /unattend:C:\windows\system32\sysprep\unattend.xml /shutdown

The sysprep crapped out indicating it could not locate or parse the file. Ok...so i attempt to just run

c:\windows\system32\sysprep\sysprep.exe /oobe /generalize /shutdown

here are the error logs i get now with only the "failing portion at the bottom due to the length of it:

Hello,
1) What edition are you trying to Sysprep? ( Ultimate, Enterprise, Home
Premium, etc)
2) did you create a new image?
3) What Gadgets do you have installed in SideShow which is failing? You
may want to try removing them

Thanks,
Darrell Gorter[MSFT]
