32 to 64 installation

Hi

I have a PC which came with Vista Home Premium 32 and I have an upgrade set
with both 32 and 64 Ultimate.

If I do a clean install of the 64 will I have a problem with activation, I
have already activated the 32 install but would format first.

Please let me know

You don't have a choice on formatting or clean install. You can only do the
32-64 upgrade in this way.

As to activation, try it. In the worst case, you will have to make a
toll-free phone call that takes about five minutes.

The relevant activation records are not stored on your system, but on
servers at MS, so whether you wipe the drive or not doesn't influence
whether online activation is accepted or not.

It will probably activate online. If not just use the phone activation. You
are entitled to swtich from 32 to 64 (and back again and again so long as
you are only running one copy of the two on one machine etc. etc.).
