Hi!

I have the same laptop. Hp dv2004ea with turion 64 CPU. Vista Ultimate
work by me OK (32 and 64 bit). Right now i have a Vista Ultimate 64 SP1
installed on it.

I think that you have a problem with memory and you should try another.
Just try.
By me is now original HP memory 2GB and befor this Kingston work fine.
