Windows Live Messenger
I have a ACER Aspire 5100 and on doing the initial setup and getting around
to doing the Windows Live Messenger Installation, the latest release
8.something comes up with a DEP error. I removed messenger, reinstalled,
went so far as to do a complete reinstallation, still the problem existed. I
finally got Messenger to work by removing the version 8 and installing MSN
Messenger 7.5. Of course now it keeps telling me that there is a newer
version, no thanks for now. I worked on this problem for 5 days, could not
find a solution that worked. Anyone else with this problem and a solution??

Re: Windows Live Messenger
You have to use the Patch from the Acer site for this problem.
