vista x64 instalayion problem-help

vista x64 instalayion problem-help

i was previously usin vista x32 and while i install vista 64x ,the old
32x os seems to be in a folder in c drive which i cant delete
also....what sud i do know,i have tried to reinstall bt there is no such
option like xp where it isn promted to delete the exisisting
partition---pl help

Select custom install
select the drive to install Vista
Use format option to format the drive
click next to proceed further..

If your old files were put in a folder called Windows.old you should be able
to delete it after you have removed any files you require.
What error do you get when you try to delete it? Are you logged on as a
Administrator?

yes i m loged in as adminidtrator and when i went to delete the old os
vista says it needs permission,thanks for ur reply though

Can you move any files out of it or delete any individual files within it?

There is that delete option.
Did you set your DVD drive to boot 1st in the Boot Order, insert Vista x 64
disk, reboot, load files, etc.
That is where you get the option to delete the existing x32 bit version, as
you have to clean install 32bit to 64bit.

No i cant remove or delete any files in it,may b my procedure to log in
as administrator is wrong....pl describe how to do that ,,,,thanks
