error installing vista

setup.exe(0xe0000100) occurred in the applicationat location 0x771eb09e I was
trying to upgrade my gateway 98me to vista and this what I got help
is needed badly

If you have a machine that's running me, it's probably an older type
unit.......first, how much memory does it have? Minimum requirements
for Vista is 512 Meg......

Try posting some more details on your setup. :-)

If your Gateway computer was designed to run Win98/ME, then there is no way
it can successfully run Vista. To run Vista in the real world, you need a
fast modern processor and a minimum of 1GB of RAM.

Post back with your computer specs and more details about what you are
trying to do.
