data transfer and outlook

I had a catastrophic failure involving XP, since th fix was extensive I just
installed a second hard drive to preserve all my data and upgraded to vista.
Is there a way I can use easy transfer to get selected data from the old hard
drive (now a slave) into the new hard drive? I am also having trouble
getting my old outlook contacts and calender info into either the new
calander in vista or into outlook 2007. Can you tell me how to do this??
