How to partition a disk in vista

I recently bought a laptop which has two drives . C: drive has the Os
installed(120 gb) and D: drive is the recovery drive (10 gb).
I want to create 3 more partitions. how can i do that?

Get a third-party partition manager.

You will not be able to create three partitions because you already have
two, and the maximum is four.

Vista can shrink partitions, but I think that you are better off buying
Acronis Disk Director. If, at any point, you have to do a destructive
recovery, you will need to use it again because OEM destructive restores
generally remove user created partitions.

For this reason, you will need to ensure that you have a reliable way to
backup. An external USB dive and Acronis TrueImage would fit the bill well..

I will create 2 more. i dont need third party software. cant i do that
without it.

Quitte simply. Shrink the C: with 90 GB for example, and create in
the free apace the 3 partitions.
