Transfering from multiple drives

A friend just called me. he just bought a new laptop with Vista. He is trying
to transfer files from old computer to new. The old computer has 2 hard
drives. C is the original and E is the added drive. He tells me everything
transfered fine from C. When he manual chooses the files from E to transfer,
the Easy Transfer software indicates that it is transferring but nothing is
there on the new drive. I have never used this software or Vista, so I am at
a loss to help him out. Are there any issues with transferring to and from
different drive letters?

Any info would be appreciated.
