Classic Start Menu playing up
Hi

Just today, my start menu on Vista Ultimate has been playing up. It was
working when I turned the computer on, earlier in the morning, but now its
playing up. I have it set to classic mode as I prefer it over XP mode.

What happens is that I can click on the Start Icon to bring up the Start
menu but if I click on anything in the menu, the start menu closes. However,
if I hover the mouse over a menu (Eg Programs) it opens the menu properly but
a click closes it. Additionally, to select a program from the start menu,
clicking closes the menu but if I hover the mouse over it and press ENTER on
the keyboard it works.

Lastly, if I switch it over to the XP start menu the mouse responds properly.

Please help

This is happening to me, too. I have no fix, just wanted to let you
know you're not the only one... If I log out and then back in, the
clicks resume. I'm going to keep trying to pay attention to figure out
what could be causing it...
