Cant install due to non existant incompatible programs?
Hi There, here is my compatibility overview from Vista...

Close Windows installation, go to Programs, and uninstall the
following programs:

o Nero - Burning Rom
o NOD32 Standard Edition or Antivirus System

I have removed Nero 8 and used the Nero Cleanup tool as stated in other
forums but still get the above error - I have no other nero products on my
harddrive.

I have looked into NOD32 and it is from a company called ESET. I have never
installed this program! It is aparently a Virus Killer but I use AVG andI
have removed that as well just in case!

Is there something I am missing here? I dont really want to format as I have
too much data to backup on the drive.

Thanks in advance

Just a small taste of what would have happened had you installed.

Stay as you are I'd say

Re: Cant install due to non existant incompatible programs?
If you choose a custom install to the partition that contains XP it will
roll your 'data' into a .old file. You need around 15-20 gb free to install
this way. You can copy the data from the .old file and delete it. If you
want your settings use WET only for the settings.
