.net Framework 1.1 Install error

I was having difficulty with an application that uses .net framework 1.1 and
tried to reinstall.

The installation stops and I get the following error messages.

INTERNAL ERROR 2908. {7D4B5591-4C80-42BB-B0E5-F2C0CEE02C1A}

I click OK then I get this one:

INTERNAL ERROR 2908. {9922FCCE-8CAF-4A22-AA39-DA835B6C608A}

I click OK then I get this one:

INTERNAL ERROR 2908. {67A0ABEE-0FA1-461F-A1FF-0C3E59C8FC6D}

I click OK then I get this one:

INTERNAL ERROR 2908. {FF766460-2F2B-4ADE-8E9B-781040797C80}

I click OK then I get this one:

INTERNAL ERROR 2908. {EB2A851A-66CC-4064-B8FA-B719D9F6D279}

Then when I clicked OK again I receive this:

Error 1935 An error occured during the installation of assembly
'Microsoft.JScript,Version="7.0.5000.0",PublicKeyT oken="b03f5f7f11d50a3a",Culture="neutral",Filevers ion="7.10.3052.4".

I have the 32 bit version of Vista Business. .Net Framework was working and
I have been unable to pinpoint the time I started having difficulty.

I have tried repairing and got this message. I uninstalled and when I
reinstalled I received this message.

Can anyone assist me in installing .net framework 1.1
