Windows Easy Transfer - can't find files
I have tried several times to transfer files from my old XP computer to my
new Vista computer. I can't find most of the files after the transfer. I can
read the list of files that were transferred, but I can't find them on my new
computer. The only files that I know for sure have transferred are music
files. Any suggestions?

Re: Windows Easy Transfer - can't find files

I'm having the same problem. After finally getting WET to work (it kept
stalling and I had to restart three times), it says it transferred all
the music and picture files I asked it to. However, I cannot find them
on my Vista computer by searching manually or via the search option. Any
suggestions?

Re: Windows Easy Transfer - can't find files
Where are you looking and are they included in indexing. Why would you not
just drag the files to a thumb drive and reload them in Vista. WET is good
for settings, but a kludge for files anyway.
