Drivers

Does anyone know if there is one web site i can go to and find all the
drivers i will need when i go from vista to XP. I called Acer they said i
should have no problem downgrading but would not help me with finding driver
info.

You have to get them from the manufacturer. This applies to all PCs, not
just Acers. Nobody else can be relied on to have the correct drivers.

Check the support pages for your specific PC model, and for other
non-original equipment and peripherals you've added, such as video and audio
cards, scanners, printers, tablets, etc.

Once you find the support pages, and get to the driver section for your PC,
it's easy. Download all the drivers that apply and burn them to CD.

You may find that there are some sites that advertise access to all
drivers - for a fee. They aren't likely to do more than redirect you to
the pages mentioned above, which you can get to at no cost.

And to finish it off, if you cannot find the drivers you need, do not
attempt to downgrade. Doing so is asking for an incomplete install and a
partially or completely disabled system.

You can go to the Acer site and download the drivers for your particular
model.

I think you are making a bad decision here. Have you checked to see what
installing XP on your brand new Acer is going to do to your warranty? I
would guess it will void it. And, believe me, if the customer satisfaction
data about Acer is any indication, you are going to need that warranty. If
I were you, I would return that unit as soon as possible and buy a laptop
from Dell, HP or just about anybody but Acer.

Either the computer's manufacturer's web site, or the web sites of the
manufacturers of the computer's various components.
