VISTA autorun problem

Hi,

For an unknown reason, the AutoRun feature doesn’t run on my PC. I have
checked my Autoplay settings in the Control Panel and the option “Software
and Games� is set to “Install or run program�. I ran tests with my Vista
original DVD disc and other genuine software disc, and the result is the
same: Autorun doesn’t work. Note also that, “Use AutoPlay for all media and
devices� option is checked.

Is there a Vista (Not XP) download fix for this trouble?

Hi,

Thanks for your help.

Your solution worked. The value of NoDriveTypeAutoRun was set to 177. As
indicated in the article, I set the value to 91 decimal and things work fine
now.

I have no idea why or what set the previous value to 177.
