I don't believe Vista supports FW 800 at the moment. I'm not entirely sure
it supports FW 400 properly now you come to mention it. The performance of
FW400 drives in Vista suck compared to the same drive connected to XP, for
example, which in turn isn't all it can be (but at least, doesn't "suck")
compared to the same drive (I own a busy little set of drives don't I?)
connected to a Mac.
