Not installing on new build

I just built a new machine. It is identical to a co-workers machine
that has zero issues with the OS.

I get "Windows Failed to Start." Doesn't work in safe mode, either.

Repair doesn't work. Here's the log that it spits out:

Okay so lets start from the beginning. Is your system 64 Bit compatible?
Is the DVD okay? No scratches, marks or finger prints on it? Are you
installing to a RAID configuration?

Yep, everything is 64 bit compatible. The co workers computer that is
identical runs 64 bit just fine. I'd be happy to list the components
for you, if you'd like.

DVD looks good.

No to the RAID config. I have a single 300 g hard disk.

When I try to start in safe mode, it stalls on crcdisk.sys and
restarts.

This is very frustrating.

I solved the problem.

I unplugged all SATA cables other than the HD and it started. Then I
grabbed the updated BIOS and drivers from ASUS and got the windows
updates. Everything worked when I plugged the cables back in.
