Fix for 0x80070017 on Vista Install

Condition : Installed full version of XP with SP2, upgraded to Vista Home
Preim and recieved 0x80070017 error, files could not be found.

I tried cleaning the DVD and player -> not the issue.
I tried the ATI driver uninstall -> Nope
I tried the other tricks suggusted here.

Fix : I have 4GB RAM (2x2GB), I took one out started it up in XP and
performed the upgrade to vista...no issues.

BTW XP only showed 3.25GB ram

Is XP a legitimate copy?

Vista 32bit can not use all the addressable 4GB of RAM
What you are seeing is correct. The balance(as far as I know) is assigned to
hardware.
