User Desktop

I am dual booting XP Pro and Vista Business. I am wanting to see how Vista
would work on my network. I am running Vista off the D: drive and I can boot
either w/o a problem. I joined the Vista machine to the Domain and a
different name than the XP Pro machine. I can logon and do what I want when
logging on as a Domain Admin. I added my user account to the machine and put
myself in the Admin group. When I logoff and try to logon as me, all I get is
a bluse background with a mouse pointer. I can get to the task manager and
that is all. The desktop doesn't load for my user account.

I found it was my Kix32 logon script process that was hanging. Once I stop
that I get that the profile wasn't loaded properly and it gives a temp one.

I disabled the logon script and I can't get this machine with Vista to logon
to the domain with a user account.
