Installation cancels becasue of system volume
Hello,

Just trying to install Vista on a newly built system. I can't seem to get
Vista to install on my SATAII hard Drives.

The MB is a Gigabyte X38T-DQ6, first HDD is a 500Gb SATA II Western Digital,
the next two drives are two RAIDed 1Tb Western Digital Drives.

I get to the part where you choose the volume to install on. I install the
Drivers for the RAID volumes (ICH9) as well as the single System HDD. Then I
select the first volume to install on and then Vista Install cancels and says

"Windows could not determine if this computer contains a valid system volume"

I've disconnected the RAID drives, tried a non raid setup, it seems to come
up with the same error each time. Some times it has even quit while I am
trying to load the driver for the motherboard. So I'm not sure what the
problem is.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Make sure the bios setup has a valid hard drive in the boot sequence.
